My new book “Jewelry Inspirations” was released on March 9. This book contains everything I love about life and jewelry making. Projects include resin clay flowers, personalized jewelry with images, etching metal, metal clay, polymer clay, wire and beaded designs. The book includes stories from my past and thoughts on developing creativity. Remember Dawn Dolls from the 70′s? These were my favorite and I kept them after all of these years in pristine condition. I am super psyched about your new book, looks amazing. I have your PMC dvd along with a bunch of other goods that I bought at your class. Books of course don’t hold a candle to your hands on classroom instruction (which kicks butt) Your talent rocks and your writings/videos are a very close second to the real thing! Rock On!

I just saw your book at the book store and what wonderful ideas! A group of my beading friends have started working on pmc and used your video to take us step by step through the process. I love pmc-it felt so good seeing that ugly lump of clay turn into such a shiny, beautiful charm.

Your book is chock full of creative and beautifully presented projects! From the Sea Urchin Rings to the Vintage Glass Bead Earrings, the photos are beautifully presented. The Spool Knit bracelet is going to be my first project from this book. I’ve been following the development of the “green” etching methods, and the Etched Copper Botanical Bracelet is stunning. This book looks good. Congrats on it. The only thing I remember from the toy picture is is the View Master cartiage(I don’t know what the real name for it is) I think I’m slightly too young to remember the dolls. I do remember some things from the late 70′s though.

I’m very curious to read your new book so I’d love to enter this giveaway, though, considering the postage costs, I’m not sure if I can.
I was relatively new to jewelry-making when I first bought Designer Style Jewelry (which I’ve also reviewed in one of my blogs) and I enjoyed it soo much, seeing all the different techniques and materials that could be used. I think those first books and tuts you read mean so much when you’re new, as eye-openers and “door-openers” to all the possibilities available.

Sherri – thank you for the excellent recommendations in your newsletter for what type of resin to use for specific projects. I have not tried Envirotex Lite and will do so soon, as I like the faux enamel look especially on fine silver. Everyone in G Jct are still talking about you and how much they learned in your class. I would love to recieve your new wonderful book. Your DVD gave me the confidence to create beautiful hollow forms using cork clay over PMC. I was so intimidated by it until I sat down and watched the DVD as I worked. I think it is a blast and I feel so lucky to be creating jewelry I love. I can’t believe you still have your Dawn Dolls!
